Michael DiPietro has built his initial start off in the National Hockey League (NHL)
The Amherstburg, Ont. goalie was referred to as up by the Vancouver Canucks on Feb. 4 and built his debut Monday night towards the San Jose Sharks.
DiPietro, who was named Goalie of the 12 months past calendar year in the Ontario Hockey League, was drafted by the Canucks in the third round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
The goaltender is becoming a member of a short checklist of athletes who have managed to get their initial NHL start off right before turning 20.
He’s also the next-youngest goalie to start off for the Canucks.
